THE RULES

  • Players must be 18 or over

  • Respect volunteers and other players

  • Games are 10 minutes long

  • Pitch size is 20m x 35m

  • Teams are 5 a side with no subs unless there is an injury

  • Teams should rotate players to give each team member the same playing time

  • Each player to play each role i.e no fixed dummy half

  • 6 tackle sets regardless of tries or errors

  • Remove tag and hold up to complete a tackle

  • Defence retreat 7m after tag/tackle

  • Attacking player is to re-attach tag before playing the ball

  • Tags are to be worn on hips

  • Sets start or restart after a try 7m from attacking team try line

  • Handling error or running into touch means play the ball as if a tackle had been completed

  • No hand off / fend / protecting tags

  • No deliberate contact

  • No kicking for touch or conversion

TEAM INFO

  • 8 players max per team, single or mixed gender

  • Comedy team names are fantastic but not essential, please bear in mind this is a family event

  • Team kits or colours are encouraged but not essential

  • Sign in is required on event day to collect player numbers, tags and belts

  • If possible, please car share as there is limited parking. (Plus you’ll have a designated driver!)

  • Ensure all team members have any required medication with them (e.g. inhaler)

  • Tags and belts will be provided on the day

PLAYER INFO

  • Please wear appropriate footwear

    • Trainers

    • Rugby boots

    • Football boots

  • No boots to be worn inside the clubhouse so please bring alternate footwear

  • Encourage and support each other

  • Respect team mates, opposition and volunteers

  • No jewellery to be worn during gameplay

SCHEDULE

  • 9.30 am

    • Team arrival and sign in

    • Receive tags, belts and player numbers

  • 10.15 AM

    • Group meeting with all participants

  • 10.40 AM

    • Matches begin

  • 12.40 PM

    • Semi final kick off

  • 1.10 PM

    • Final kick off

  • 1.40 PM

    • Medal and Trophy Presentation

  • 2.00 PM

    • Rehydrate in the bar & watch some super league

FOOD & DRINKS AVAILABLE FROM THE CLUB THROUGHOUT THE DAY
